Over the past weeks, months i've been slowly adding bookmarks to my del.icio.us/lfs account. At first hesitantly, but gradually i started to feel more at ease with, started to see the potential. First of all accessing my own bookmarks from anywhere, secondly organising them in a simple and scalable way. Right now, i feel i need to get more organised with how i tag my bookmarks. I decided to go for a straightforward hierarchical directory structure. This means tagging all my bookmarks lfs, which is my personal equivalent for root. For now i'll go the following main categories:
   lfs |
       | art
       | | netart
       | | theory
       | | critic
       | | design
       | dev
       | | management
       | | webdesign
       | | IA
       | | programming
       | | | php
       | | | ruby
       | | | howto
       | | javascript
       | | actionscript
       | | css
       | fun
       | mac
       | | tool
       | | software
       | | ipod
       | blog
       | | theory
       | | nl
       | | music
       | misc
       | | gtd
       | music
       | | scritti

This is just a start! What i gotta do now is add all the main tags to all my bookmarks. I'll report back one day to say how this system is working for me. Right now, i've got some work to do!

Thursday July 21 2005

I just noticed on another del.icio.us page, adding ':' to toplevel folders: so :art, :dev, :fun, :mac, :blog, :misc and :music. That way my main categories are nicely grouped together in alphabetical view. On another note all together, last night i had like 3 scritti dreams, really weird, as i didn't listen to any scritti music over the last weeks/months, apart from when it popped up in the iPod shuffle sequence. One dream was of a white-haired guy, which i felt was to be scritti. I guess it was the bottle of rose i drank yesterday. I also remember a view on a circular square, which when i type it sounds really odd, but its a square, an open space with some greenery in the middle, but circular shaped. Or a circular shaped building in the middle. Hmm.. its starting to get more strange... Anyway, tonight i'm surfing, drinking (again!), gonna watch America's Next Top Model and Extra's in an hour or so. Cheers, love ya, tada, stuff like that. :)
